Clun Farm House is a 500-year-old stone farmhouse with all the nooks, crannies, and beams you expect in such an ancient home. The decor is simple, unpretentious, and delightful with attractive fabrics and paints complementing the more architectural charms of flagstones and original fireplaces. The feel is rural yet the house is perfectly placed for exploring our delightful village or wandering down to the pub for a pint. Bring your children, dog, horse, or bike or maybe just a good book. Susan and Anthony are charming and fun hosts who pride themselves on creating an easy and sociable atmosphere for guests. You will unwind quickly as Anthony's take-us-as-you-find-us approach characterises the house.

Relish the peace and tranquillity of the Clun Valley from Wrens Nest. Ideally situated just a 5-minute walk from the heart of Clun, right on the Shropshire Way long-distance footpath, and having private off-street parking and valley views.

Wrens Nest is the ideal size for one or two people with one en-suite bedroom with a double bed, and an open plan kitchen, living, and dining area.

From the parking space directly opposite the door, you step up to the ground floor room which has a fitted kitchen with an oven, sink, fridge/ freeze, toaster, kettle and the cooking and dining essentials for your self-catering escape. There’s a spacious dining table with seating for two and a large sofa that’s plenty big enough to kick back and relax. The TV has a Roku box so you can access your Amazon Prime/ Netflix accounts. Most importantly there’s a wood-burning stove to keep the cottage toasty warm during winter escapes.

Stairs lead up to the bedroom with a double bed, hanging rail, additional clothes storage and a full-length mirror. A dressing table or desk along with good wifi speeds is there for those that need to check in at the office. The small en-suite bathroom has a shower, toilet and sink.

There’s something really quite special and restorative about the beauty, peace and tranquillity that can be found in the hills at any time of the year. Our goal with Wrens Nest was to create an affordable escape that people would return to time and time again. That’s why we charge the same price year-round with no peak season price hikes — just the same cosy cottage, in the same beautiful Shropshire Hills, for the same price.

Prices from £50 per night or £275 per week for up to 2 people self-catering. Minimum 2 night stays.

> Unfortunately we can’t accept dogs as there is no garden access

> Bikes are welcome and can be locked safely in our garage

> An EV charge point is available to use for an additional charge

The cottages are 3 miles north of Clun in the Unk Valley, in an idyllic and secluded spot by the river, surrounded by rolling hills and farmland where the only sounds you can hear are the river and birds singing.

Both cottages have many original features with honey-coloured beams and are furnished in a comfortable country style with cosy wood-burning stoves.

Directly from the cottage doors is fabulous walking straight into the hills, Offa's Dyke and The Shropshire Way are both a mile away.
